i get out., written for basset Kate Alexandra is a sonic enmeshment of American avant-garde and conservative contemporary stylings that explores the dichotomy of self and societal enslavement and freedom. Written for double bass and electronics, the piece draws influence from the words of James Baldwin at his 1969 talk at the West Indian Student Centre in London.
